1. Overview

Girigo (“we”, “our”) operates the website girigo.app and the Girigo wish-recording app on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

2a. Website (girigo.app)

The /online demo uses your device’s camera and microphone solely within your browser. Video and audio are stored as temporary blob URLs on your own device and are automatically revoked when you leave the page. We do not upload, store, or transmit any camera or audio data to our servers.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymised usage statistics such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. No personally identifiable information is collected or shared.

2b. Girigo App (Google Play)

Wishes you record in the app are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, access, or transmit the content of your wishes. Standard Android app analytics (Firebase) may collect crash reports and anonymised usage metrics.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

girigo.app uses browser local storage to remember preferences such as your chosen language and music toggle state. No third-party advertising cookies are set.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymised traffic analytics. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Play — app distribution. Governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policies.
• api.qrserver.com — used to generate the QR code displayed on the page. Your IP address may be logged by their servers when the image loads.

5. Children’s Privacy

Girigo App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
